Save to an NAS drive

PostTue Sep 20, 2022 4:10 pm

I have a NAS drive on my home network. I'd like to default my session saves to this drive.
How do I do that?

Move your projects database location to that drive.

Unless you have 10gb nic, I don't recommend storing your rushes there. It will be painful to try to playback video on 1gb.

Could put rushes on NAS and keep proxies all on internal drive.

Page 71 of the manual describes Libraries, what they are and how they work, as well as how to manage projects within them.

It will tell you how to move your existing one or creat a new one and copy your projects over.

So I read the Page 71/'projects' section but am still confused on how to save projects to a network location.
Anytime I save a project it just pops up with the name to save the file as. No location/destination options to speak of.

Mac osx 12, btw.

It's the library that needs to be moved to the new location. The projects will always be saved to the library you have chosen.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

AND, do I move it within DR? (change location) or is it just a Finder grab and move type of thing?
