Power Bins Not Updating

I have created some Power Bins for regularly used music and FX. I have recently added more music to the folder on my hard drive but notice that it does not automatically update the related Power Bin in Resolve. Do I need to make sure I manually add each new file to its related Power Bin?

The power bin folders have no relationship to the OS folders; there's no way to sync them. Files need to be imported and added manually.

Honestly this needs to have some sort of "Update" or "Refresh" feature for when you want a folder to be updated with what's in the OS other wise this is a broken and time consuming workflow.

It already has access to the OS based on what you import and how it locates those files so what gives?

As John points out, a bin has no relationship to an OS folder. One bin can have media from several bins, so 'updating' wouldn't be very workable.

I would personally like to see a power FOLDER that can be utilized in a similar way to a bin, which could then be updated / refreshed. But im neither a fulltime editor or a software developer, so I have idea how feasible that is and what potential issues there could be. Or if there is a better way of doing things

So I was looking for the answer to this exact question as well. Easiest workaround I found is manually syncing by dragging, dropping, deleting, and/or modifying your assets within the media tab.
