Can't export mp4 files

PostSat Jun 03, 2023 2:39 pm

I've got a couple of mp4 files that behave werdly in resolve.
When I scrub thru them parts a red „media offline“ signal begins to flash, but only
on certain frames of the clip and when I try to export them davinci asks me whether or not
their on my drive but I find them in the Finde right next to clips from the same shoot
that behave totally normal.

Can anybody help me out here? :?:

It sounds like those files have some corruption and dropped frames. Possibly a problem with the media they were recorded onto.

I am currently having this same issue. I've been working on a project for about 2 weeks with no issues with the same footage. For no apparent reason I started getting the media offline screen when scrubbing through a single clip.

I've right clicked on clip > find in media pool. The clip is there and I can open the clip and it plays completely through without the Media Offline screen. I also went ahead and replaced the clip with the same clip on my client drive and it reloaded.

When I go back to the timeline where the clip is in my edit I get the Media Offline screen again as I scrub through. Seems very odd that the issue is only happening within the timeline. I've also created duplicate timelines and transferred all the clips to a fresh new timeline and the issue continues.

Any help/feedback is helpful.

Here's a screen record of my issue:

Make sure there's no Cache at play here. Go to Playback>Render Cache and set it to None.

Report back.
