Setting Default Text+ Font in Timeline

PostSun Jun 04, 2023 8:02 am

Good Day everyone,

I want to set the default font used in the text+ effect in the timeline page. I already know how to do it in the fusion page, but it is unclear how it is done in the timeline tab.

So as it stands, every time I drag a Text+ effects into the timeline, it has Open Sans as the default font. I want to choose which font is standard.

Kind regards,
Robert

Hi Robert,

By timeline tab do you mean the edit tab?

Default Text+ font has been a feature request for a while I think.

So far the solution seems to be creating your text+ on a timeline, setting the font that you want to be 'default' on that, and then creating a Power Bin. You can name the Power Bin your default font and then drag your Text+ from the timeline into the bin (and also renaming that to something like Text+ YourFont once it's in the bin.)

After that you can keep using that Power Bin in all your projects -> dragging your newly named Text+ back onto the timeline.

You might know this already!

Having a default font setting in Preferences would be nice though +1

Good Day Nils,

Yes, I mean the Edit Tab. Your workaround is brilliant. I am going to use that. Thank you.
