DJI Inspire 3 - ProRes RAW HQ

Hello everyone,

i am currently working working with DV 18,6, which is last version,
but DV still does not read this "new" format from DJI INSPIRE 3....
do i have to convert it to CDNG?
any news on when will DV read this codec?

I can't comment on what might, or might not, happen in the future.

I had a friend come over with footage (ProRes RAW) from the Inspire 3,. Great looking footage. He edits mostly in DR.

I let him cut the footage on my PC with GrassValley Edius which is ProRes RAW friendly. He then rendered out to ProRes HQ and proceeded to finish in DR. Worked great.

I use 3 different editors to cover all bases. DR, Edius, Vegas. Can't go wrong.

I use EditReady to convert the ProRes RAW to regular ProRes and a log format like S-Log3. Then manage it in Resolve.

I use the Raw convertor (yes convertor) to convert my Inspire 3/Ronin 4D ProRes RAW files to CDNG.

Set the Color Space to Blackmagic Design and the Gamma to Blackmagic Design Film in the Camera RAW window or in the inspector under images.
If you are using DR above 18.5 use the DaVinci Resolve YRGB (Timeline color space DaVinci WG/Intermediate) in Project Settings/Color management.

Interesting. What is the file size difference on that ProRes RAW to CDNG?

CDNG 13.1 GB (Quality set to Lossless using the RAW Convertor

yes...i also saw that app, raw convertor....that converts prores raw into cdng...
but...isn't that what inpire 3, or any inspire, also records? cinema dng?
does it make sense to record in prores raw and after convert all the footage to cdng??
for me it doesn't make sense....
at the end i used assimilate play pro studio which handles very well the prores raw...
i had only to generate proxies from the original footage, and i believe that in the online stage,
nuke or other will also handle the prores raw.
As i really dont understand why...
does anyone knows why dr does not read prores raw?
dr reads everything...so why not also prores raw?
is it kind of a brands "fight"?
