Shortcut for Delete Through Edit!

Is there a way to have a keyboard shortcut for the function Delete Through Edit?

Thanks for your feedback, Jim.

That is disappointing that I can not assign shortcut for this function. But the strange thing is that also in Vegas Pro you can not assign shortcut for the similar function, called Event Heal!

Highlight the edit point and press the delete or backspace key.

True .. Its even better than a shortcut as it make sense to just select the split point and delete it with delete key.
