Oh, lordy. Speaking of "getting a thicker skin", if it's a "non-issue" (with 3055 views and counting) why respond at humorless length, slaying the wicked left and right, or by suggesting somebody is either a troll or mentally ill for even raising it?
Thicker skins, as you demand, would appear to be in short supply....
Sure bud.
I'm the one crawling under my desk right now because I'm embarrassed to see the splash screen.
They are fine and good-looking, and I enjoy them. I'm being positive towards the person who made them, in opposition to those who are literally scared of them.
And by the way, those "3055 views" aren’t all real. Search bots are constantly crawling the forum, hitting threads when they're posted and whenever there's a response. As for the "real" views, not everyone is reading the whole thread either. So don't think for a second that forum views are an actual indication of anything. The number of posts in a thread and how long it’s been active are much better indicators of how it's doing.
Sure, there are tons of passive readers, but I highly doubt most of them are sitting there like, "YES, finally, a thread about those icky splash screens!"
Sarcasm and "ewwww me no liky" need to be met with the same energy. I’m not 12, and I’ll absolutely mock any adult, whether online or in real life, who acts like this (because, honestly, it’s entertaining too). If you want to be taken seriously, then say something important or at least share your thoughts in a less childish way.
(a) Like I said, when someone post something about the most subjective thing, "art work" that has ZERO IMPACT on what the software does, there are other people who LIKE THEM.
There are ways to convey a sentiment, ...and ewwww is never the way.
I had the same approach for the thread about the "religious problem" of the splash screen.
Imagine thinking that after the first "trigger," everyone who responds differently is also "triggered," lol. That’s not how it works... unless we’re talking about kids.
It’s just an excuse to avoid holding the first person accountable for something dumb they said or did: "No no no, if you call me out, you’re the hypocrite." Classic childish response, same vibe.

If OP was like : I don't really like the splash-screen, maybe they should work more on them.
I wouldn't even respond, or I would just say: Nah, they're fine, I like them - And say the same thing as pont (a) in a more positive way.

You know, it makes me laugh lol.
