The window is stuck. I can't move it.

I installed DaVinci Resolve, and I'm excited to use its features! There is one problem though.
I can't move the window. The program is still responding and I can use all of the visible buttons, but I just can't move the window with the mouse! In Ubuntu, there are keystrokes used to move windows, and they don't work either. Unfortunately, the bottom and right sides of the window are cut off. Any idea how to fix this?

And no, I can't reposition the window in the Overview (Screenshot 2)
I am running DaVinci Resolve 16 on Ubuntu 18.04.03 with GNOME 3.28.

In the Workspace menu, can you toggle the Full Screen window?

Can you also post the full system specs with gpu?

No, I can't reposition the window in the activities overview. All I can do is close programs, switch between them, and move programs to other workspaces.

Sure thing.

sorry, your system is severely under-powered to run resolve...

Ouch. Would you recommend not using Resolve at all? I'm able to run other programs like Blender and Lightworks, and it Resolve is just fine. Will it refuse to move when my system is marked as incapable?

resolve use extensively the GPU and the one in your system is not capable to run it.
There is no CPU only resolve....

Understood. What is the least-powerful GPU you could recommend? I'm planning on upgrading soon anyways.

Apart from the GPU, which as the Dell is a laptop, you will probably not be able to upgrade, your disc drive is rather small considering the size of video files. It is also handicapped because its spin speed is only 5400rpm. You really need one with 7200 rpm spin speed. Better still would be an SSD.
If you wish to use Resolve you are going to have to invest in a much more powerful computer.

By "upgrade" I meant getting a new device. What would the minimum specs be?

Coming back to this, can I confirm that this is the menu you tried unsuccessfully?

"Minimum specs" would depend in part on the type of footage you're running: resolution most of all but also frame rate, codec, and length.
Have you read through the FAQ linked in the first section of the forum?

Oh boy!
Just upgraded Resolve and got the same issue on Ubuntu, and my system is top notch with 64GB DDR4 at 3200Mhz.
It worked like a charm before, never crashed except when Fusion wasn't finding the appropriate Cuda libs' path.
The problem seems at first glance a Window-Management issue, it's like when you shut X.org's middleman and lose the top bar to maximize/minimize/close a window.
I'll try to investigate what's going on and share if I could have any findings.
Also, the window appears in the same exact position as the previous screenshots here. If you hit Ctrl+f to go to preview fullscreen then quit using Escape, the window will re-position on the top left, a typical issue of mal-functioning Window Manager.

Update:
This might have to do with the screen resolution.
I'm moving houses now, so just hooked the PC to an old monitor that is less than FHD, and I'm leaning towards this explanation, and I shall confirm its validity by the morning when I pull my work monitor.
Also, we can still move the window using the Super-Key/Windows-Key + Mouse-Left-Button & drag it anywhere, so it might not be a window-manager issue at all.
Will update it later.

I forgot to update.
The issue had to do with the previous Resolve version; it had nothing to do with the screen dimension. I tried on Win10 with the same monitors and it worked, and it didn't on Ubuntu, until 16.2.3 was released and I've tried it and it worked again just fine regardless of the monitor's resolution.
Whatever BMD had done, they have fixed it now.

Switch the secondary monitor to a different monitor in the workspace menu, then back to this one. Reset it perfectly for me.

Is this resolved for everyone else? I'm running Resolve 6.2.7 on PopOS, which uses Gnome 3 and I am unable to drag or resize the window.
A few notes:
1. I am able to drag and resize the project selection panel that open when you first launch Resolve, but after selecting a project I am unable to resize or drag the Resolve window.
2. If I hold down the super key I can drag the Resolve window, but I cannot resize it no matter what I do.
3. I tried disabling all gnome extensions and re-starting gnome, but this had no effect.
4. System specs: Ryzen 3700x, 32gb ram, GTX 970, one ultrawide monitor connected via displayport
Any suggestions? I've resorted into booting into a windows partition to use Resolve due to this issue, but I'd like to get it working on Linux.

This also happens on 17.1.1. I'm running this on:
Processor: i7 - 7700HQ
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Quadro M1200
OS: KDE Neon
This also happens on my other rig:
Processor: i7 - 4770k
RAM: 32GB
GPU: RTX 2080
OS: KDE Neon / RHEL / Fedora
I can confirm it's not a monitor or resolution issue. This is the Linux version that does this. Running on the same monitors with my Mac or Windows system doesn't have this issue at all. I can also confirm that holding down the Super+Mouse_Right_Click, I can drag the window but cannot resize it at all.

Yep, I posted it here too:
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=140430It seems like they're breaking the code somewhere again, I just hope they get it fixed ASAP, as of now, I shall be resting from any DR/Fusion stuffs, until they get it fixed, so looking forward to the next minor release.

I'm not able to move it by dragging the application window under EndeavourOS (Arch) + KDE Plasma either.
Switching the primary display was a useful tip from @Mikedeprez.
Workspace > Primary Display > (select one)
Under KDE Plasma, I can also right-click the launch applications icon on the task bar going to More Actions, where I can Move and Resize successfully.
