Hi, I am starting to film music videos editing with Resolve for the first time and I have a really torment question for you or anyone of the experienced with Resolve (though I'm not sure it's a Resolve problem) mates.
I am working with 24fps and 1/48 sh. speed, and even on 30fps 1/60 sh. speed I get a very ugly judder (I don't know if you call it that way) when the camera pans horizontally, that is making me nuts. I noticed that the more fps I interpret the clip the better it gets but it still does not make sense for me. Can you help me? I don't know what's my problem. Here's a video where I think you can see it, whenever the camera pans.

Welcome to the forum, but first of all, you can't expect people here to watch an entire music video. You need to isolate your examples when you want help.

There are strict rules about the speed of pans to avoid judder, when shooting 24fps. In the U.S., there are tables published by the ASC, which you may be able to find online. But, in general, you have to pan slowly -- probably more slowly than you'd expect. Too fast, and you'll see "judder". The higher the frame rate, the less this is an issue.

Also makes sure your project is set exactly to your recording fps. Note that 23.976p is not the same as 24p.

There is always some judder when panning at 24fps. It's normal.

But in your video I'm also seeing something else, a vertical judder.

It could be caused by your electronic stabilizer.

What camera are you using? It looks to me rather like line skipping which is typical of shooting with a DSLR for video. Something like a Canon 5D...

Or, if you're shooting with a mirrorless still camera for video, it could also be caused by having anti shake active on the camera.

It would therefore be helpful for you to disclose exactly which camera you are using, which video mode (full frame or crop for cinema), are you using an electronic stabilizer? etc...

Yep. This vertical micro judder is actually more annoying than other one.
I assume good gimbal could help.

One of the details that much people is missing... point the camera to the subject, and avoid the big background or blur the background, I know is not panning... but panning at 4k 24 is really difficult without a proper hardware and the 7 second rule... NOTHING TO DO!!!! just add motion blur in post to minimized it
