Which Deck Link card for 4K r3d's?

PostMon Sep 17, 2012 12:57 am

Hi guys,

I am setting up a grading system using DaVinci Resolve where we will be using mostly 4K r3d footage. Here is my current system:

Windows 7
DaVinci Resolve 9
2x Nvidia GeForce GTX 580's 3GB Each
1x Nvidia Quadro 600 for GUI
32GB RAM
2TB Barracuda 7200 HD
2x Intel Xeon E5-2630 6 Core CPU's

What I am wondering is, what Deck Link card would be suitable for monitor output of my project during grading? I will be using a 1920/1200 screen via HDMI or DVI so I don't need a 4K output, so would one of the lower end cards such as the DeckLink SDI PCI Express Capture Card work with and adaptor to HDMI? Or perhaps the Deck Link Studio SD/HD Video Card with SDI, HDMI & Analog Connections would work?

Thank you in advance!

We would recommend that you follow the guidance in the Windows Resolve config guide, available in the Support area of the web site.
