Resolve keeps crashing

Hello,

I've got Resolve 16.1 installed and it keeps crashing on me. Might it be because we're using 32 bit broadcast wave audio? We used a Sound Devices Mix Pre 6 Mark 2.

I wouldn't expect the media to cause a crash.

Take a look at the Troubleshooting FAQ at the top of the forums for more info.

I have done. I also uninstalled Resolve and reinstalled it. We were using BRAW footage which caused Resolve to crash repeatedly, so we made Pro Res versions of our footage, Resolve edits that just fine with minimal crashing.

Is there a problem with how Resolve is handling BRAW?

There is a problem with the current nVidia driver and BRAW. You can install an older driver, or turn off GPU Decode for BRAW in Preferences.

I worked for 6 hours and almost finished a film.

Then DaVinci crashed and I have lost every single frame. Every single one.

Reminds me of the good ole days with PrPro

Is there any possibility my film is somewhere, as opposed to where it seems now? That is, nowhere?

I found 16.1 to be very unstable, so much so that it lasted only a few hours on my system. 16.1.1 has been much more stable.

Regarding BRAW, review this thread: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=102152

Be sure to turn on Live Save. I've never lost any work with that feature on, and will never again use an NLE without such a feature.

Hi!
Version 16.1.1.005 keeps on randomly crashing. I've got an Asus FX505 with 16GB Ram, Nvdia 1060 and 256ssd. The message I got during installation -it recommended to use cli mode. Was it not able to use the graphics card?

Thanks!
