Audio goes silent halfway through track

PostWed Jan 08, 2020 4:01 pm

I'm making a video from some audiobook files I have. I've listened to them often, and on multiple players there's no issue with the files. However, in Davinci, the audio inexplicably cuts out after 11:28 in a file just shy of 20 minutes.

This isn't the longest audio file I've imports by any means, and I'm perplexed why this would be happening.

First thought I had is to convert audio files to 24 bit 48kHz .wav files for editing. Audacity is a free program that should be able to do this. Adobe Audition can do it, if you have that.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
