DaVinci Resolve Project Server

PostMon Jan 20, 2020 12:19 pm

Hi,
I'm using DaVinci Resolve Studio (on Mac), with the dongle (not serial number). The installer created a "DaVinci Resolve" folder in my Application folder, inside it there is also the "DaVinci Resolve Project Server" used to create a shared database.

A friend of mine bought the Apple Store version instead, and got just the DaVinci Resolve application inside the Application folder. And the "DaVinci Resolve Project Server" was not installed.

Anyone knows how to create a shared database or how to get the DaVinci Resolve Project Server application when using an Apple Store version of Resolve?

Thanks,
- Marco.

Did you ever receive an answer for this? I've just installed the studio version on two BigSur installs and do not have access to the project server. Any thoughts?

From DaVinci Resolve 17,

• project server, access to PostgreSQL server and collaboration are available on DaVinci Resolve (free).
• they are branched out into a separate installer - available in the support page under the first tab (browser > Search in Page > "Project Server" is the easiest way to find it).
• The project server installers (above) can be installed alongside (and are compatible with) the DaVinci Resolve App Store installation.

Hi Steve, Shrinivas just answered our question ;-) and yes, the installer is available for download at the support page.
