Color picker will not match colors between 2 nodes
Posted: Wed Jan 22, 2020 3:30 pmHi, I have DVR 16 Studio version. I am trying to match color from a logo (left window) to a text/background color (right window).
1. I used the color picker to pick the left window color. It produces a different color to the right window. The RGB value reads 234,60,35. I tried color pick or manually entering these value for the right window, It will not match the left window. When reopening the color palette on the right window, the RGB value reads 226,37,27.
2. I opened up the logo file in Adobe Photoshop, color pick er reads 239,64,54. I fill up a small rectangle, the color matches closely.
3. I opened up the logo file in FCP X, color picker reads 239,64,54. Fill up an empty space, the color matches with the logo.
4. I go back to DVR, this time entered 234,64,54 manually into the right window and this time it matched.
I have the default color management settings. Actually I have played around with different gamma settings for all 3 Input, Timeline, and Output and none of it worked with color picking the color.
So... why color picking within DVR will not give a correct value? What have I done wrong?
