Black line when masking

What is this black line that parallels the masking tools? I don't think it was there recently. It's very annoying when trying to mask with precision, especially when there is dark footage.

Looks like a drop shadow.

Very strange.

I have this happen to me as well and I have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it... anyone figured it out?
