And after having found glitches (both audio and video) in final renders in some earlier versions of 16 I remain very wary of every render and have to spend time watching each one from beginning to end. That's very time consuming as many of my timelines are quite long and boring (people talking on stage).
So far I haven't had any in 16.1.2, but it's going to take me quite a while to regain any confidence in it.
I know it's an old post but I still and constantly have some issues with that.
I have Resolve Studio 16.2.8 working on Ryzen 3900x, and Radeon 5600XT with 20.4.2 drivers under Windows 10. Previously I had 2700x with RX580 with same software and exactly the same problems. I work mostly with 1440p timeline and exporting to the same resolution
In almost every single render I have some dropped frames or(and) some artifacts. I tried different drivers and all the older versions of DR and it was all the same. Except DR 15 which was working well but slower. Also different encoding do not change much as well as the footage codecs. Tried exporting to h264, 265, also DNxHR with different settings, and there's usually less problems with DNxHR but it's not guaranteed. I still have to watch carefully each clip and in most cases export it a few times to get smooth footage.
I also tried to slow down the render speed even to 75,50 and even 25 and it helped... a bit. But yes, still have some issues but it looks like less than usual.
The problem is really annoying. Anyone have any ideas?
ps. HWinfo gives me the GPU driver version Driver Version: 26.20.15029.27017 which looks like one coming from microsoft but I tried a few drivers with same or worst resutls
