I am getting this annoying glitch where a white / greyish rectangle shows up.
It's 1" x 3/4 I'd say
It shows up out of nowhere and wont' go away.

I get it randomly now and again after switching to another application or the Finder and back again. Not often though. Restart fixes it.

I get the same white rectangle.
It follows me outside of Resolve as well on finder.
I get it to disappear on Finder if I 'hide Resolve'.
But it won't remove it from Resolve unless I restart RS. Very annoying.

Getting the same. VERY annoying.
Instant fix to get rid of it (for a short period of time): Activate/Deactivate 'Cropping' in Inspector

DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.2.2, windows

In case anyone is wondering this is how to reproduce it. I started using full screen toggle more carefully.

Sorry to revive a dead post but just wanted to share a solution I found for anyone else having this issue who winds up here after a google search.

Through trouble-shooting I learned that the issue, for me, seemed to be caused by clipping my blacks.

If I use MONONODES "Clamp" DCTL on a node right before the guassian blur node, the issue goes away completely. This basically prevents any black values from going below 0 and any white values from going over 1. That prevents the gaussian blur node from freaking out and adding rectangles for whatever reason.

Hope this helps!

You can also clamp the signal using any of the Soft Clip curves, even a minimal amount
