Open Studio project in Free Version of DR

PostMon Feb 24, 2020 4:45 pm

This question came up from a client:

They've created a project in DR 16 Studio but need to transfer it to another Mac that only has the free version - and taking the Dongle to the other station is NOT an option.

Can the free version open and edit a project from Studio? Can't find any info on this...

Hello, Robert,
yes, it can. There is an exception — you may not be able to open a project that was in the collaboration mode at the time of the save.
Most other unsupported in the free version features that are supported in a Studio version will result in a watermarked image.

That's what I expected, studio-only assets not making the transfer.
Appreciate the info.
