feet + frames....

ok, after 20 years that we wanted to leave this behind, it has a comeback. that is painful but i still get editors that ask for it.

however, there is something that does not make sense: the 0000+00 is setup at the beginning of the current timeline.

that is ... problematic. a timeline has slates, bars, countdowns.... all of this should not be counted in the feet/frame, usually the feet/frame is counted either form [picture start] or [first frame of picture].

so, (and the manual is not out yet, so i cannot tell...) i need a way to tell resolve "for this timeline, the feet+frame count has the [0] point at timecode 01:00:00:00. or something similar.

probably where there is the [timeline timecode] is a good place to put it.

Oh this is hilarious. I come to the forum to find information on this very subject and Walter has been waiting for almost exactly a year for the same information!

I have to match film elements back to a 4K scan and be frame accurate...

Guess there's no hope...

I haven’t check again if something changed: there is point where I try to use a feature, it does not work/need improvement, I suggest them and move on.

Sometimes the feature is abandon for my workflow, and never revisited again. It’s a shame, but at work i have no time for troubleshooting....
