Why is my DaVinci Resolve 16 Timeline Screen Black?

PostSat Mar 21, 2020 1:43 pm

So, for a couple of days I have been trying to use DaVinci Resolve 16 for my video editing but the source viewer (screen on the left) and my timeline screen (screen on the right) is always completely black, even when I drop an image or a video in it (only audio plays)

I have made sure to update my NVIDIA driver to the latest version but to no avail, is there any solution to this problem?

Here is how it looks:

These are the Drivers I installed:

Edit: I am using a Quadro Driver of NVIDIA

I too have been having this problem, on some of my timelines, not all.
I am a newbie, so every session , I recognise it is 90% reading posts on forums, etc, just to figure out if it is my working method, or a quirk, or a bug.
I do not know if it is related to other black screen issues, but one of my black screen issues (and there have been a few) concerning a compound clip on the edit page, went away when I decomposed the clip.
I have also had erratic behaviour on my fusion page , but I'll post elsewhere to try and find the answer(s)
This is the first time I've posted, so I haven't figured out how to create a template to provide my hardware and software set-up.
