I have experienced this several times also. I am on Windows 10. I know my hardware is way underpowered (see on my description) and that might be part of the problem so not just saying it is Resolve fault. Need to update my system as soon as possible.
I have found out that some times when Resolve crashes I have to open Windows Task Manager and force shutdown Resolve as it some cases will hang there even after the software is crashed and disappeared from my screen and from the open programs list. Without doing it Resolve won't start again but after that, I can re-open Resolve.
