issue with .aaf timeline importing resulting in no sound

PostFri Apr 03, 2020 7:59 pm

Hi all, I have a bit of a simple yet irritating problem.

I edited a relatively short and simple five minute clip in Premiere Pro, but found it to take an absurdly long time rendering when exported through adobe media composer (upwards of three hours) and I converted the timeline to an .aff file so I could compress and export it through resolve, which was far quicker.

The timeline imported easily enough but there is no sound, meaning the green audio bar is there but has no waveform. The source clips in resolve work fine and have audio.

I could just re-cut it in resolve but would rather not, and could foresee this being a bigger problem in future, more complicated projects. An admittedly cursory google search turned up nothing about this problem, does anyone know what could be the matter?
