Flickering dark image

I shot a movie at night, with limited light sources. In the camera dislpay it looked fine, but now that I'm editing, I realise that every clip has a large amount of flickering in it. I'm sure this is either due to the lack of information in each clip, since they're so dark, OR the streetlights. (even though we had the correct shutter speed) So I'm just wondering if there's any way I can solve this? Is there a filter, a setting or something I can do to remove the flickering?
