How to set unique playtime for each frame in a sequence?

PostSun Apr 05, 2020 6:12 pm

Hi,

I have made a sequence of still frames.
Hand drawn, 20-30 frames, that should cover about a 30 secs.
A very basic animation.
Yet, I want to time each frame to correspond the audio (a folktale).
Now, some frames should be on screen for 2 sec, some for 10 sec and some for 0.5sec.

Could be done as a slideshow, but in total I have 7x20 frames (7 sequences), and bit time consuming.
I was happy to realize, that DaVinci Resolve recognizes the sequences, and makes a video right,
when imported.
But I do not see each frame separately, and cannot set time for each.
Is there a way to do it?

Currently I am doing this in kapwing, but needs to input each frame one-by-one.

Is there a good, time efficient way to do this?

Thanks

Before dragging the clips into the media pool, set the three dot option in the media storage to use 'show individual frames' and see if that helps you.
