No audio level in timeline when importing .aaf from Premiere

We're importing old projects into Resolve from Premiere so that we can escape the clutches of Premiere.

When importing a .aaf timeline in Resolve and either allowing resolve to add media to a Bin automatically, or importing media to the Bin manually, the audio in the timeline will not produce sound. The audio is in the timeline, but there's no waveform. The video plays just fine.

The audio tracks aren't muted, the clip volume is set to 0, the tracks aren't disabled.

The file in the Bin imports just fine, there's a waveform, and if you double click it it plays fine.

If I create a new timeline, the audio plays fine.

If I create a new timeline and copy & paste the clips from the imported timeline, no level.

The audio files are 48k 24-bit Linear PCM .wav files. I've tried re-exporting them and replacing as 16-bit files, but that made no difference.

Using Resolve Studio 16 (latest version).

Can't think of any other troubleshooting steps!

Hi!
I had exactly the same problem yesterday, here's what i did:
In ResolveYou have to select all the sound clips in sequence, then right mouse buttton, select "Clip attributes", go to "audio" tab, and make all the source channels unmuted. And this is on)
In my case i also had to set the volume to zero in inspector.
Hope it'll help you, please answer me back after trying.

^^ This is the solution ^^

I had a similar issue to OP bringing in an .aaf from a Premiere project. Audio files were showing up in timeline with proper timing etc, but were not playing back with audio despite the source media playing just fine when double-clicking the timeline audio to open/playback in the source window.

I highlighted all my timeline audio and went into Clip Attributes > Audio as suggested above and sure enough all the tracks were set to Mute. I selected the proper channel from the dropdown for each track and that fixed it for me.
