Difference between "Razor" and "Split Clip"?

Can someone tell me the difference between the Razor and the Split Clip in the Timeline menu?
BTW: I'm not talking about the Razor Edit Mode
I searched in the manual and didn't find any info on the differences.

I also never can't understand the difference. Both tools seems do the same thing.

In blade-mode (B) with »Strg + \« (split) the clip will cut on the playhead and with »Strg + B« (razor) the clip will cut on the mouse-point (if you are over the clip with the mouse).
