Stuck looking for Multicam clip file

PostMon May 04, 2020 5:21 pm

I have a very simple process I do, which seems to be broken as of this week. I edit Zoom videos with Multicam editing to switch between Gallery and Speaker view. I import the two clips, create a Multicam clip with defaults. When I drag it onto the timeline, I get a message that says resolve would "like access to the folder".

I click "select folder" and it opens a folder dialog box. This opened to the DaVinci Resolve folder. I've also tried opening other folders, e.g Desktop, that were in the media storage list. At any rate, no matter what I do here, I get box that says, "The selected folder does not appear to have access to..." followed by the name of the clip. "Please ensure you have selected the folder where the file is located." It appears to be looking for a file that is the Multicam clip but that doesn't make sense to me and there is nothing on my hard drive anywhere with the word "Multicam" in the name.

Let's start with some basics.. are you on Linux?
What version?
And which version of Resolve?
is this from the BMD web site?
Did you add the drive to your drive list in preferences?

Thanks Peter -

macOS 10.15.4
DaVinci Resolve - 16.2.1.017 from App Store

In the media storage at the top of the list was the ~/Movies/Davinci Resolve -
I tried removing that then it started looking at the next folder in the list ~/Desktop

Had the same problem with both cases.

Do you have the checkbox ticked as i do here?
and /Volumes/Macintosh HD
if not, do these and power restart.

I didn't have Macintosh HD in the list. I added it and that seems to have fixed the problem.
