Color grading removes stabilization on edit tab?

PostMon May 18, 2020 9:17 am

Whenever I make adjustments in the color page after setting stabilization in the edit page, it seems the remove the stabilization and I have to go back and do it again. Not a huge deal, but a bit annoying.
I guess I could do all the stabilization on the color page, but generally I find it easier to do while working on the edit page.

Is this a bug or is there some way I can prevent the edit page stabilization being removed?

I have been experiencing the exact same problem. Colour grading clips seems to undo all of the stabilisation that has been performed previously. Given the amount of clips in my project (about a 100), this glorified newbie would really appreciate a solution or workaround. Thanks in advance.

It's because in color tab, then keyframes (bottom right), or also in the Mark menu "keyframe timeline mode" the option "All" is selected by default, which shouldn't be. Choose "Color" and when you reset all grades and nodes, it doesn't affect stabilization.

I always change that at the beginning of the session but I've forgot this time and it happened the same to me.
Please blackmagic, change this annoying behaviour once and for all.

Is this still happening in 2022 with Resolve 18?
That just happened to me.I think this behavior is quite confusing.

The default for Keyframes is still All on version 18.0.3.

Would it be possible to get a screen shot of where/what this is please?

Call me crazy: I just check what mode the Keytrame Timeline is set to before I paste a color correction across lots of shots. To me, it's all part of the job.

I just found this and it's driving me insane. I added stabilization (edit page inspector) to dozens of clips (with much time and effort expended). Then I went to color page and copied my color node template to all clips and it automatically deleted all of my stabilizations in the process. That's not good!

Stabilise is always contained in the FIRST (default) node on the Colour Page when you apply it via the Inspector on the Edit Page. It's wise to APPEND a saved colour grade on the Colour Page otherwise the stabilise info will be overwritten when replacing the node with the saved grade.

Adding to this in 2024.

I can confirm that with "all" selected in the Keyframes tab, APPENDING the node graph is the best way to do this. Doesn't remove the stabilization for me.
