Is there a smart resampling (from vegas)

PostMon May 25, 2020 1:28 pm

Hello lovely Blackmagic community,

I've been trying to find an equivalent to the smart resample feature from sony vegas, which basically allows you to import lets say, 240fps gameplay footage, and render it at 60 fps but with the motion blur of the 240fps footage. The result is something at 60fps that looks super smooth (
)

Is there a way to get this effect in Davinci Resolve? I've messed around with the frame blend and optical flow, but I can't seem to notice a difference.

You can set the retiming method to "blend" for the project or just the clip concerned -- that will introduce something akin to motion blur -- or you can use the motion blur control on the color page.
