How to copy in/out TC?

PostMon May 25, 2020 4:23 pm

Hi,
very beginner question :
I'm doing and before/after video so I want to copy the in and out timecodes of one clip (let's say the "before") to another one (the "after") this way I can put one ontop of the other, they'll match and I'll be able to make a transition between them.

The "paste attribute command doesn't include the in and out points so how can I do that please?

PS (subsidary question) : where can I find the in and out value of a clip?

I recommend taking a step back and completing the Beginner's Guide and lessons below.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

On the Edit page you can bring up the Edit Index by clicking the button in the top row of the Resolve window.

Thanks for the answers guys,
I've watched the BM tuto but they dont mention a way to simply copy IN/OUT TCs from one clip to another.
There's something about copying the attributes but IN/OUT TCs are not part of it.

We can read TC In/Out in Media browsers but we cannot copy or edit them from there. We cannot copy or edit any column like are Duration, Frames, etc. I use this at Final Cut Pro 7. Maybe it is the tip for Blackmagic developers for DVR in the future.

Yes thank, you're right that could be cool to have a more convenient way to do this.
Cheers!
