Track selection is disabled

PostMon May 25, 2020 5:01 pm

I am trying to use the simple 'y' shortcut to select everything from play-head till the end - Its not working.
I am unable to highlight the video track I want to work on as well. There are 5 video tracks above the track (including multiple adjustment layers) that I want - all of them are disabled in a bid to get this to work. No luck. If I click on V1 the orange box does not appear:

Only the topmost track is selected (if enabled).
The audio track has no such problems.
FWIW This is a duplicate timeline and I want to rearrange all the clips in a different sequence and shuffle them around. What can be the problem here?

A destination selector (the red rectangle) has to be "on", for a "y" command to work. Turn it on (and also ensure the auto-selector is on) for the track whose clips you want to copy.

The destination selector is dead. I am unable to use it. Thats what I meant by this -

If I click on V1 the orange box does not appear

Edit: It just worked after a restart. I think some hidden glitch caused the function to be deactivated.

Have you saved your project and tried restarting Resolve? Have you tried opening another project and see if you still have the same problem?

Yes it works after restart. See edited comment above.

Use the keyboard shortcut, alt+#, to activate a destination track (or turn it off).
