If the slides are animated you can export them as video clips in the MP4 or QuickTime formats. It will encode using H.264 and I believe the frame rate is locked to 30fps unless you use a third-party add-in or macro.
This item did become pain on backside for me since did have talent who did have PowerPoint presentation with three figures slides and universe amount of animation on every one of those... So import option was last time I did use.. It really did take weekend to sync video and PowerPoint.
So on future.. On that PC which talent is using, has OSB studio running with screen recording. Since OBS also record preferred mic, I clap my hands together, this way I can sync PowerPoint video with one from camera...
