How do I Relink footage which is in another format? ( Previously it was mp4 now it's MOV.

I was editing in mp4 and playback was choppy so changed it mov.

Such you can use Reconform command for current timeline:

1. Duplicate this timeline. (orig. timeline will be safe)
2. Select all clips in duplicated timeline.
3. Uncheck Clip/Conform Lock Unabled.
4. Right click on duplicated timeline at Browser and select Reconform From Media Storage.
5. Find the settings that line up the new media, e.g. File Name/Loose file name match
6. That's all

But what do I do with sub clips?

OK.

The easier way is to use Optimized Media. I favor Cineform 10 bit at 1/4 resolution. It performs significantly better, and is good enough to use for color work.
