Lock or hide audio volume overlay

Can I lock or hide the volume overlay line in the Audio timelines in the Editing Mode? I find it way too easy to accidentally nudge and then misadjust that when moving clips around . My reference is always the old Final Cut Pro 7 and you could just turn them off.

I don't think so.

You can use the timeline track profile in Timeline View Option without thumbnails inside tracks.
