Resolve Fusion Saver node Problem

PostFri Jun 12, 2020 8:34 am

Hi Guys,
So here's the problem I have. Resolve Fusion saver node stops rendering (freezes) if frames are not cached on a Edit page timeline. For instance if I cache 95 out of 100 frames and then render from Saver, it will render 95 frames but freezes on last 5. Is there any settings I have to change to get it render without Edit page caching?
I'm on latest Resolve 16 Studio. Thank you in advance.

I think it does not like some nodes. Saver just does not do it, but edit page renders it. Will have to go through nodes to understand.

It was an animated LensBlur node :( Nothing fancy, just blur size animated slightly. It was not even turning red to know if its having trouble.

I have a theory, not sure if its true. We all know about the bug that copying nodes from one fusion comp to another in Resolve is a matter of luck and zoom in/out game. This node was copied from another comp, and I think this might be a problem. I have no technical explanation for it, but this might become a problem.

Anyone knows if this bug is worked on or if its a matter of certain settings or a workflow?

Thanks.

I just had the same problem, so i searched here for a solution.

i had several saver Nodes for Rendering Passes for a 3d compositing.

resolve simply stopped responing, so i thought it might have a problem with eigther the naming of the files, or the number of saver nodes. previously i rendered two simultaniously, now i had four.

anyway it turned out, that was not the problem, but i still had the mediaOut connected.

i uplugged the mediaOut and everything started working again.
