Playback speed

PostWed Jul 01, 2020 3:26 pm

I am working with the full version of Resolve. I have shot some material at 144 fps. I want to play that footage back at 25 fps in my edit. I have set my project and timeline speeds to 25 fps in Resolve. However the footage is not playing back in slow motion in my timeline.

Is this not the correct workflow? Is there a way to get VFR footage to play back at the project and timeline rate as a default? I don’t want to have to slow each shot down manually. When I look at the shot in Resolve it says it is 25 fps so I would expect it to play back at that speed even though it was shot at 144fps.

Thanks

After you drag your clip to the timeline, you have to right-click on it, go to Clip Attributes, and change the framerate to the same as your timeline. Then you have to click on the end of your clip and drag it out to the right. It should then play in slow motion.

Either that or set the frame rate in the clip attributes.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
