LUT stuck on timeline

PostThu Jul 02, 2020 12:27 pm

Hi,
In desperate need of help: Working on a project, it seems like a LUT has stuck onto the entire timeline, affecting every single clip. I can't find any indication of it, though, and no way of removing/disabling. The clips in the media browser show up in original, ungraded form, and toggling Bypass Color Grade also shows the original clip in every window. When right-clicking clips in the media pool, the No LUT is ticked. Using DVR 16.2.3 Studio on Mac.
In a bit of time pressure here and would really appreciate any useful advice.

What are your project Color Management settings?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hi,

Deeply embarrassed now. Problem solved with help from BMD support: I had missed the option of switching between timeline and clip nodes at the top end of the color node window, and, lo, there the elusive LUT lurked... Seasoned colour gradists, feel free to facepalm. Fellow newbies, the solution to this problem is really simple. Over and out.

Did you accidentally add a LUT to the whole timeline on the color page? There's a dropdown menu next to the zoom slider above the node graph; it's normally set to "clip." If it's set to "timeline," then anything you do affects the whole timeline.

Also,

Many thanks, Jason Conrad, for screencap clarifying the issue! That's exactly what had happened.
