Collaboration for machines not on the same network?

PostSat Jul 04, 2020 5:47 pm

Hi Gang!

I'm looking into setting up a collaboration project so I installed Progress on my workstation.
But to what I understand this is good only for machines that are on the same network.

How do you set up a collaboration project for machines that are not on the same network?

Obviously and ideally each of the collaboration machines should have a local copy of the same footage, since sharing only one location remotely might slow things down given the media size.

I guess I am looking for some ideas of efficiently sharing and working on a project from multiple machines.

(I know of exporting the .drp file, but that means that only one person at a time can work on it).

Thanks!

Wireguard for PG connection, Resilio Sync for footage.

Sorry to dig this one out again, but does anyone have a step-by-step guide to set up WireGuard on a Windows 10 machine to access a PostgreSQL DB remotely?

Thank you!

Gabi

Really just Google for a tutorial on wireguard configuration. There is nothing Postgresql specific at all. If you don't have basic knowledge about networks maybe consider zero config mediated VPNs such as LogMeIn Hamachi.
