Import EDL - AAF - XML from Pyramix

Hi,
I just received 3 files (EDL, AAF and XML) exported from Pyramix Sound Software.
But I can't open anyone in DV Resolve.

The AAF give me this error
No primary timecode track found, violates AAF edit protocol 6.3.

The EDL just do nothing, no timeline is created, and there is no error in the console

and the XML says that it is not a valid FCPXML file, which is true, because it is an XML, and not a FCPXML file.

Maybe someone can help me, because of course I need to work on it for a tomorow deadline…

best

Going down to the basics, you'll need a file format supported by Resolve. The Pyramix operator will need to find a way to provide such.

As an analogy, if a VFX company provides a video file that isn't supported in Resolve, then that VXF company would have to provide the shot in a different format.

Which Pyramix Export Settings were used for the AAF export?
Embed All Media in the AAF file
Link Clips to its Original Media on its original location

Was “Convert Media to mono Wav files” enabled?
Was “Copy all Media to an Audio Files folder near the AAF file” enabled?

As a last resort, AATranslator is able to translate Pyramix XML, CMX EDL, and AAF if the Pyramix export wasn’t configured correctly.

Hi,

I encounter the same problem on a classical music project, I can't open an AAF from Pyramix that the sound engineer sent me.
We've tried different settings but each time the same error :
No primary timecode track found, violates AAF edit protocol 6.3.

Which settings should be used in Pyramix in order to import properly in Resolve ?
We are a bit lost at that point...

Thanks in advance !

Fred.

Is this an embedded AAF?

Which Export settings were used in Pyramix?
Which version was used - Pyramix 25th or version 12 or earlier?

System spec? viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190

Thanks for your help, Reynaud.

Here's the sound engineer answers :

It's not an embedded AAF.
Export settings :
- Media Options : Copy all Media to an 'Audio Files' folder near the AAF File
- Video frame rate : Same as Project Video Frame Rate
Pyramix 11.1.5 version

She sent me the media separately (stereo tracks)

My system spec:
DVR 16.2.6
Win10 pro
AMD Ryzen TR 2950X, 16 cores, 3.50Ghz
64Go RAM
Nvidia GTX 1080

In Pyramix Export Settings enable "Convert Media to mono Wav files".
If this fails attempt an embedded AAF.

Which of the "Consolidate All Media", "Export Clip Gain", "Export Clip Envelope" and "Export Clip Mute" options are enabled in Export Settings?

Are any ZTX or MPEX4 processes on Clips in the Pyramix Composition?

If possible post a link to the AAF.

Thanks.

Already done !

Which of the "Consolidate All Media", "Export Clip Gain", "Export Clip Envelope" and "Export Clip Mute" options are enabled in Export Settings?
all these options !

Are any ZTX or MPEX4 processes on Clips in the Pyramix Composition?
No

We attempt an embedded AAF, no success, same error.

At this point, we're thinking about exporting via Protools...
