Some clips not showing in timeline viewer

Hello All,
I'm brand new to Resolve. I imported my first timeline from FCPX into my free version of Resolve to perform color grading. Of the 86 clips in the timeline, 80 appear in the timeline viewer just fine but 6 do not appear. The six that don't appear are consecutive, the audio plays but not the video. The viewer is black on these 6 clips.
I've tried closing Resolve & reopening but that doesn't help. I'd prefer not to try and re-import the timeline because I don't want to lose the work I've already done. Plus I'd like to know if this is solvable & can be prevented in future projects. If not, I'll probably just do color in Final Cut.
Thanks in advance for your help.

FCPX 10.4.8
Resolve 16.2
IMac Pro (2017), 3.2GHz Intel Processor, 32GB RAM, Radeon Pro Vega 56 8GB graphic card, Mojave 10.14.6 OS

Those 6 clips might be of a format thats not supported in the free version of Resolve.. can you post a sample?

Might also be timecode or filename related. Thats what I picked up going through similar threads in this forum.

I have basically given up trying to import existing FCPX projects into Resolve as too many source clips will not be found.

I also was never satisfied with the translation between programs, and find that sticking to one software product is best.

Translation - if you want to Color in Resolve (and you do want to Color in Resolve), then also Edit in Resolve. :D

Thank you all for your input. Because of this issue plus some lag time and non-response issues, I broke down over the weekend and ordered the Studio version. I had already decided I was going to buy Studio because of some features I wanted that were not offered in the free version. It just took hours of trying to solve issues that made me pull the trigger.

I will post a follow up to detail what changes (if any) it made.

Peter, The format is the same on all clips. I received the Studio version today. I deleted the free version then installed Studio. I deleted the prior xml file and prior DaVinci project. I exported a new xml from FCPX. I created a new project in Studio & imported the new FCPX xml timeline. Still have the exact same problem.

I just discovered that the 6 clips that don't show up while in COLOR, do show in the viewer while in EDIT, only it's the entire media clip. Why would it show up in EDIT but not in COLOR?

I have a similar issue...I have clips on the timeline - all from the same source, all in the same format, that will play fine in fusion, but not in the edit or cut tabs..the screen simply goes black after the transition but the sound keeps playing. Stranger still - these clips played fine yesterday.

I am using the paid version of Resolve
