If you think it's related to a Resolve update, go back to the version you think was working, and see if that's really the case.
Hi Dwaine,
I went back 2 versions today and encountered the problem with every version. Tried:
16.2.5
16.2.4
16.2.3
Im trying to free up some space on the drive to see if that may be triggering the disconnect. What I cant figure out though, is why, if it is the drive, why caching the PNG sequence as DNxHQ files works fine. But when rendering the same PNG sequence to a DNxHQ file from the delivery page, the drive disconnects. Why would one method of rendering consistently work and the other method consistently not work if it is the drive?
Update: Having no other ideas, I thought maybe since the 4TB drive was 90% full it might have something to do with it. So I cleared off about 1.5TB so its about half full and now rendering seems to work fine. So I it seems to be a combination of things happening. Yes, probably largely the fault of the drive. But Im still puzzled as to why caching the PNG sequence to DNxHQ works fine but rendering it to DNxHQ from the delivery page does not. Is there a difference in the way resolve writes to or manages writing to the hard drive from the delivery page as compared to just caching from the edit page? I still dont get why one always works and the other always doesnt.
