Resolve won't open (w/LOGS+ NFO), other posts not working

Yesterday DR 16.2.5 stopped working randomly. It does nothing when clicking on the icon. No splash screen. It has worked for months with zero issues. Then nothing

I started reading and trying to fix it. After many tries and lots of frustration, I decided to eliminate all variables.

-I did a factory reset and updated (from what I can tell) all my drivers and OS.

-I have nothing plugged in any port or USB. Not even a mouse. Using the trackpad.

-I even removed all the hard drives but the one OS drive

-DR does show up in Task Manager under the background processes and sits at 150mb in memory. The trick where you end task and try to reopen doesn't work.

Another user with a laptop with similar graphics hardware had a similar issue, with identical logs.

And even though this error isn't in the Windows Error Reporting area of your NFO, I think that may be because you've updated or reinstalled Windows and those message are gone.

So, try deleting this file, if it exists in your system (pretty sure it will):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\igdlh64.inf_amd64_1a33d2f73651d989\igdrclneo64.dll

If that doesn't help, send an updated log and NFO file.

I could not find that folder. Thus can't find the file.

Anything else I can try?

OK then, in File Explorer, go to:

C:\Windows\System32

Find the igdrcl64.dll file and rename it to igdrcl64.dll.tmp

Reboot the system. Now will Resolve launch?

Renamed the file + Reboot

= Same result. DR does nothing

-Tried the little trick with end task (in task manager)

-Uploaded a new LOG + NFO

OK. Still pretty sure the issue is in the Intel iGPU driver area.

You appear to have a generic Windows Intel driver installed.

Go to the Dell web site and in the driver downloads area for your Inspiron 7559 laptop, download and install the Intel graphics driver: 26.20.100.6859, A15

If it still doesn't work, please send another log and NFO file.

It actually would not allow me to install it or some reason.

I included two images and the log for why it wouldn't allow me to install it. However, my Intel integrated video card is updated. But I am not sure why it won't let me install the one you suggested.

It's not installing because the Universal Windows Driver is installed.

If you Google: Package is Legacy. Install not allowed because UWD is installed

You'll see various reports of this. I would recommend you download DDU from here:

https://www.wagnardsoft.com/

Use DDU to remove the current Intel driver, then you should be able to install the Dell driver.
