No offence, but I doubt you developed it yourself :/
I first kept contacting BMD about this, and in their emails they made it clear they're aware of the issue, but can't solve it at the moment because Decisions take time to get approved. (I shared the emails here)
Afterwards, I posted that I'm researching to build an OFX solution and published it on this forum, but after getting acquainted with the OpenEffects documentation, I came to realize that stripping Natron's ability to do so will resolve this as I have used it before and saw it could do the magic, and I asked on their official Forums and a Developer got in touch, and he did that already, and I posted that as well here.
The developer was named Rodlie, and his code is Public on Github here:
https://github.com/rodlie/openfx-textAny one can download and use his code, and it works perfectly but needs some Features' polishing.
In my past months and since that incident I've studied how Natron does it and how Rodlie extracted it, and I've written a base from scratch to solve this. First, to get me better equipped with the right knowledge to dive into the Ofx plugins' world, and second, to see if I can build a professional Titler that supports RTL languages as 1st class citizens as well.
My re-write has more features than Rodlie's, and solves some of the first issues you'll face when you use his Plugin, and it feels more like DR's own Text+ than Natron's. Still, I have to thank the guy for providing me the best training and a quick shortcut to achieve my goal.
I'm not accusing you of plagiarizing Rodlie's, but if you used his fork, studied it, got inspired by it, or came to our convos either here or on Natron's board, then you need to give credit where it is due.
The other reason why I doubt what you said, is because I've been coding since I was 12, and doing it professionally to make a living since I was in university, which is like 17 years ago, yet I couldn't claim that I solved the issue, although I'm on it for few months now on my spare time, so to slide it just like that without depending on any 3rd party code is legitimately questionable, and to prove that you write all the code your own, that's another whole matter at all.
Sorry for the long post, but I feel offended if I sense, feel, or see others taking credit for others' hard work without thanking them.
Nevertheless, you could've solved it without any 3rd party ofx solution, or may be through modifying DR itself, and I gotta say excuse my programming-paranoia
You could have been the next Linus Torvalds for the VFX community and you need to be discovered, so I hope you accept this criticism if you're truly legit, it just means we've got a prodigy amongst us
