I have a problem with the keyframe timeline not showing up

I'm not really sure, what caused this. The problem is, I can still add keyframes, but I cannot open their respective timeline. When i press the button for that, nothing happens. Did anyone have the same problem? Do you know how to fix it?

The general fix for any UI issues is to do Workspaces -> Reset UI.

You will then need to re-configure the UI the way you had it before, eg Dual Screen or not, Media Pool column layout, etc.

UI glitches like this are not uncommon, and Reset UI usually fixes them. If it doesn't, report back - and also state which page you're on specifically, which version you're using, and on what OS.

Which page are you referring to? Color or Edit?

Ok, so first of all a few information. My OS is Windows 10, i have the 16.2.6.005 version of the program, and my problem is (was?) about the Edit page.

I've tried the reset workspace option (it did not work, sadly) but I might've accidentally found the source of the problem. See, before that bug happened, i copied and pasted the clips im using into another project because of another bug (I couldn't add media to timeline), some of them have already had keyframes. Later after i found the bug, I discovered that the problem only occured with the clips that already had the keyframes in the other file. The keyframe timeline works normally on clips that weren't changed before.

So I kind of have found the solution, but maybe there is still some easier way to fix it alltogether?

I am having a very similar problem. The keyframe editor simply won't display when clicking the key icon on the clip. The spline editor works, but not the keyframe editor. Same problem on both my Mac and PC form version 18.1 to 18.1.2. This is certainly not an OS issue. It's a Resolve issue.

Just one clip, Jake? One timeline? One project?

Or...everything?

I'm having the exact same problem!

If I press the keyframe icon on some objects in the timeline (be it clips, imgs), about 20% of the time the keyframe timeline won't appear, and it's driving me nuts.

One time it didn't work with the mouse click but with the keyboard shortcut (CTRL+SHIFT+C), so I thought I could go with that but that also doesn't work many times. The curve editor always works to press, it's just there mocking me.

UI reset didn't solve it and I'm using 18.1.1 BUILD 7. This problem has persisted through many verisons for me, and it's a dealbreaker because it always drains my motivation to edit.

Does anyone know of workarounds or if Blackmagic is actually on this thing to get it fixed?

Chiming in on this issue. I find it happens frequently and the only way I'm able to get past it is to close and then re-open Resolve. And while that's a workaround, it's not really a solution since it can interrupt your workflow.

I'm on an M1 Max Macbook Pro with macos 14.5, though this sounds like it's happening on a variety of systems.

I'm experiencing this too.
I feel like this is an important bug that should have been addressed by now since it looks like people have been experiencing it for years. This is crucial functionality, and as much as I dislike Premiere, I think I'm going to have to switch back to it. Resolve's low cost is starting to make sense.

This bug is ongoing, 5 years later. Across multiple projects, timeline settings, files, Resolve versions (including the latest 19.1.4). It creates a huge roadblock for many of us but I haven't seen any acknowledgement from support or an attempt to fix.
If not here, where is the best place to lodge bugs/problems?

Having a similar problem. I'm keyframing the position on an adjustment clip using the basic transform tool. I just want to ease in/out the movement, but I can't select the keyframe timeline. A keyframe icon appears on the lower left corner of the adjustment clip in the main timeline, but I can't click it, and the usual icons on the lower right corner are not there.
