Short cuts

PostWed Oct 21, 2020 8:36 pm

I want to make a film with a couple of hundred still images. They are all too long in the timeline.
How can I apply the same action to all of them to shorten their length?
Short deadline - any quick help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I'm not sure if there is a way to do this in the edit page.

You could render the timeline as is. Then bring it back into the project, speed it up to make it whatever length you require. Make sure that the retiming option is set to Nearest Neighbor.

Select all clips on the timeline.
Right click one of the clips and select Change Duration to whatever length you need.
Go to Edit Menu/Delete Gaps.

1. Select all clips.
2. Right click>Change Clip Speed
3. Set Frames per second, check Ripple sequence.

Thank you for these answers. I also make them all into one compound clip then changed the speed / duration. I need to do it again now so will see which works best. Cheers.
