Disappearing Audio Files (FIXED) BRAW 2 Wav Sync Replacement

PostThu Nov 12, 2020 12:47 am

This issue pertains to synced audio files that may have been lost on booting of Davcinic Resolve 17 Beta.

In this specific context, the audio files were synced from Braw and replaced with .wav H4N recorder.

On Export, the audio files were disconnected and the original camera audio remained muted. On opening the project all the audio files were lost without waveform, though rendered successful previously with no change other than a program reboot.

The best solution I have found is to

1. Export the timeline.
2. Open a new project.
3. Re sync footage and audio files.
4. Re-import the timeline.

Waahlaa. It should work temporarily!

I've had the glitch come back over time, but this usually resets, Hope it helps!!

One key thing I left out. Just importing the timeline doesn't seem to work and results with the same issue.

You must re-import and re-sync the video and audio files in the new project THEN import that timeline.

Hello,

I think I have a similar problem. Did two session and exported two great finished projects but then wanted to extract the audio to have it mastered by an expert and the audio was gone - the tracks are there in my multicam synced filed but are red and there is no wave file that I can see.

I'm not that savvy and tried to follow your directions. I exported the timeline, opened a new project, imported the timeline and it played in the new project. I thought that was the solution and exported the new timeline (to my desktop, then opened the original project and imported the new timeline but it did not work.

I'm sure I did something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Freddie
