Database problem

My friend made a project on Resolve 17 on MAC. Program was lagging hard so she tried to switch to 16, the database was unable to open or create a new one. She deleted the database folder and deinstalled the program. After installation 17 back again there is no local database, also unable to create new or load backup from another computer. Error appears. Any idea how to fix database file? Why it didnt appear after installation?

Deleting the database is why it wouldn't just show up after reinstalling 17.
But you should be able to Restore a backed up database. You'll have to use a new location, though.

cant load a backup cause of some error and what to do in case the database is deleted? any solution?

You can try file recovery software on the deleted database.
What's the error with Restore?
