They changed the standard color for the dip to color transition from white to black.
I never used dip to color with the black color, I always used white.

How can I change the standard color for the dip to color transition back to white?

Change the color to white, right click on the transition and click "Create Transition Preset"

That creates a new transition preset, but it doesn't change the default color of the dip to color transition.
It's important for me that I can change the default color of the dip to color transition, because the "Speed Editor" has a button for the default dip to color transition. So I need that transition to always go over white, not black.

This could be a user preference, but the default being white was a major pain for me, because whenever I import a timeline and the editor has used a dip to colour, it was always black and I then had to go through the timeline changing all the dips to white back to black again. It's a far more common transition than dip to white.

The Preset is saving with my color changes in Studio 17b1 for Windows.

Yes, but I want the color of the default dip to color transition to be white, not the color of my preset.

You can't have that.

You can have the same end result.

What Timo wants, a different default behavior, is what many want so when you import an aaf from Avid the dip to color sctually translate well and you dont need to spend a lot time changing each and every dip to color in the timeline.

That's why it's better to have it default to black, which it thankfully does now.

Yes, used to be white, was very annoying.
