same here. Just tried the dongle in my new M1 and it asks for an activation key. Light is on in the dongle but no joy. Is there a solution on the horizon?

The last two 17.1 beta updates introduced dongle support for Mac Silicon systems. Can I check that you're running b4 or b5?
