Hi,
On the scanner Cintel 2, there are 2 audio input XLR (3pin)
This audio inputs are located just below the bi-phase sync/Time code out.
What are these audio inputs for and how to use them ?
Thanks
cris

These audio inputs are for ingesting the audio generated from any machines that might be synchronized via the Bi-Phase/Timecode output (i.e. magnetic audio follower).
The audio on these ports is sample rate converted to the scanner's transport speed, meaning that it's ready for use as part of the captured clip and will be properly sample rate locked to the video images.

Hi,
Thanks for reply.
i am trying to digitize magnetic audio with a MWA MB51.
It seems that the cIntel is not receiving the analog audio signal from the MWA MB51.
I can't hear the sound of the MWA through the Cintel when I digitize.
Is there an option to check in the Davinci Resolve capture tab (or somewhere else) to tell the CIntel to pick up sound from an external source ?
Best
cris

Hi Cris,
yes there is but it only exists in Resolve 17+, so you'll have to pick up the beta, or try it via the SDK samples.
Let us know via support if you have any issues beyond that.
Cheers

no problem.
As mentioned, the SDK also comes with pre-built example binaries, in this case 'CaptureImage' that will allow you to do captures via these ports (if you were wanting to do any testing). The clips captured via the SDK can be opened in Resolve.
Cheers

Please have a look at the developer site.
Cintel can now be fully controlled and images processed outside of Resolve from your own software. We provide two examples that show you how to do everything Resolve does from the command line.

I also am wanting to do this with an MB51 connected to a Cintel 2 scanner.
Where is the option in Version 17 to capture the audio from the XLR inputs?
Cris, how did you connect the biphase signal from the Cintel to the MB51? I'm looking for the pinout.
I want to fit an XLR socket to the MB51 so I can use a normal XLR cable from the Cintel to the MB51.
